I have a 2 year old

My 13 year old has regressed to a 2 year old. Although I think most 2 year olds cute (even during a tantrum) this is NOT cute at all.

He is refusing to comply (isn't no every two year olds favorite word.)He is talking nonsense and anything for shock value (what 2 year old doesn't love bathroom humor?) He is even throwing tantrums.

All this is hard on him, but it is harder on me. I know God does NOT make mistakes and he chose me to be Jason (and Josh's) mom, but this is A LOT! It is physically exhausting, emotionally draining, spiritually troubling, and just plain NO fun!

I want to enjoy my kids. I want to have fun times with them. But Jason especially makes it so hard.

I know he is the kid and I need to be the adult and handle all this. Today I just don't want to.

Please keep me and my family in your prayers.

Hang in there! I just said a prayer for you. :)

I'm so glad you're able to homeschool those boys. Can you imagine how much worse it would be if he had public school friends who were a bad example?!?

He needs a mentor... someone to hang out with, not for therapy or anything, maybe like a father figure that he can relate to, just a few hours a week, to do anything he enjoys, maybe a sport like golf, dinner, movie etc.

How about your brother?

Thanks so much for the prayers Becky. So far God is calling me to homeschool and is making a way for me to do so, and I do think even in all I have on my plate it is the best thing for my family.

HS, my stepfather is amazing with both boys. He does so much for the boys and with the boys. He is actually taking Jason turkey hunting in 2 weeks. But I agree as he is getting older he needs more time with a positive male role model. My younger brother, Kevin, also does movies and hangs out with him about once a month.

I knew teenage girls were hard, but no one ever told me about teenage boys. yikes!
