Happy Monday

Good morning! It's Mon. We had a great weekend. Sat. I got to sleep in, clean the house without any kids present, and food shop alone. Who knew I'd be excited over chores? LOL. I also got more stuff packed. Two weeks and 5 days till our move. I am excited, yet wishing we had actually moved already and this is a lot of work. I am proud of myself though, everytime I pack a box an equal amount of stuff goes in trash or in give away pile. We still have way too much stuff though. We are SO blessed. God is so good to us. Have a great week! -Becky in NJ

Happy 28th Birthday to Lauren (my friend since first grade, over 20 years ago)!!!! I love you!
Happy Birthday to Aunt Donna!!!! I love you!

time to relax

hello! it is 9:30 at night, and I am not stressed from putting any children to bed. Jason is visiting with his dad, and Joshua is sleeping at my mom's (one of his favorite things to do.) I have cleaned my bathroom, cleaned out my car (has not been done in 3 months-I even windexed the windows), paid all bills due, wrote out my new calendar for Aug. ( I just got a great calendar that starts in Aug. from www.flylady.com), I also made myself dinner (cheese ravioli's with sauce and beets- I love beets soaked in vinegar) and watched a little tv. I feel so relaxed. Today I also cleaned my room a bit more. Next, I will pack a few more boxes ( I aim at 2-3 a day and 1 bag of stuff to get rid of via garbage or give away to someone or on www.freecycle.org .) Then I will do a devotion and read before bed. The best part is I get to sleep in. This is my favorite thing to do. I really appreciate my mom keeping Joshua, I need a break. I spend all day everyday with him. This is my mission to raise my kids while being there as much as possible, God has blessed me in this desire so much. I have never had to go to work full time away from them. I was a nanny and now do the in home daycare, so I am still available for them. I know many single parents have to work outside the home and I feel for them, but I am so grateful God has allowed me to work my jobs around them.
Have a great weekend yourself, and try to relax as well!

Courtney was my friend in high school and we still talk and keep in touch (they live in FL now.) They have 7 children and are adopting 2 sisters from Haiti. They are awesome parents, follow God, and are so blessed. Please check out there blog to the right they are fundraising for air conditioning and more for the orphange in Haiti. If you can send only one dollar (if we all did) this would make a difference. The address to donate is on there blog. Thanks for taking the time to read this, oh and please pray about it. Thanks! -Becky

Jason & Joshua

Good morning! This is a first for me. On my own, on my day off I woke up at 8:30 am. My kids had already been up for about an hourwatching tv. I love to sleep in, so I will try and sleep til at least 9:00am on a day off. I guess going to bed at 9:30pm and falling asleep by 10:30pm was helpful. Today I was going to paint, but bought a 5 gallon bucket that I can not carry (man at store loaded it for me.) So bucket is stuck in car until my stepfather can come over after work and unload it. Not like I really wanted to paint anyway. Instead we will go get more boxes and pack more stuff (we are moving in 3 1/2 weeks.) Have a great day! -Becky

Hi! Welcome to my world

Hello! My name is Becky. I am a single mom have been for about 9 years now (with 6 months in between that I was not-a story for a later time.) I have two boys. Jason is 9 and has ADHD and can be difficult to like at alot of times. And Joshua my 4 year old, well throws lots of fits and yells and talks very loud. Honestly, sometimes I do not like either one of them much. But I love them all the time. I pray for them daily. I thank God for them daily. I only get through each day because of God.
Overall I really do have a heart for children. I love to see them learn and grow. I love the innocence and complete faith they have.
Currently for work I run an in home childcare from my home. Also I work at a camp for Autistic children and babysit at someone elses house Sat. night for extra money. I also volunter at my church and run the Wed. evening children's program infants to 6th grade. As you can see I am around lots of children alot of the time. So I guess that's why I get burnt out and stressed with my own. I wish I wouldn't, but I do. My children know how to really push my buttons because they put them there.
Now I'll put some great qualities about my children. Joshua, my sweet baby (now 4) loves to help with the little ones I care for. He loves to give me hugs and kisses and he loves to help with housework and cooking and baking. He doesn't mind sharing and will do it most anytime. Joshua may start preschool this year. Jason, has such a heart for the Lord. He is constantly wanting to send his allowance to some organization to feed babies or build churches. He is great at sports, I guess because with his ADHD he has so much energy. He has accepted the Lord and has been baptized. He constantly talks about how he is not going to hell and how he wants to tell other about it. Jason will be in the 4th grade.
Well, I think this is good for now. Except I want to share my favorite verse: Jeremiah 29:11 this verse is so true. God has provided for me in ways that do not make sense. Not only have ALL our needs always been met, we have been blessed and continue to be so blessed. God is so good!
