I love central air

I just have to say I love having central air. I am so spoiled, but I just can't stand the heat (well I could, but I don't like to.) I keep my thermostat at about 72. I like it cold.

Do you have central air? Air conditioning? What temp. do you like your house? Do you hold out waiting to turn it on to save money?

Central air is great, especially now that I'm pregnant!
We don't run it unless it is pretty hot and humid, and even then I try to wait until evening when we have cheaper electricity rates.
We ran it all day yesterday b/c it was really humid out. This morning it's much cooler, so I opened up the windows. I actually prefer the fresh air as long as it's not too hot!
We usually set ours at 73-75 degrees.

I used to live an apartment with an old boyfriend that had old slider windows which made it impossible to put a window unit in. After suffering through a few unbearable summers with nothing but a fan, I got a portable air conditioner. Alas, much to my chagrin, the exhaust hose got SO hot, that I could never get the room colder than 80 degrees. Constant oppressive heat, box fans whirring loudly, shades drawn to block out the heat all day long, forcing me to miss out on the gorgeous summer sun....it was terrible. Like living in a tomb. It made me really hate the summers. Like...really hate the summer.

Last year I moved into my new home with central air. I LOVE it. I can't believe I ever did without it.

I must say that I keep the inside temperature at about 68 degrees all summer long. I leave my blinds open, get sun all throughout, and am constantly cool. Now, I can enjoy the summers again. Thank the good Lord.....and my new husband for being such an amazing provider.
