I need some ideas

In three years I have been writing this blog, I have not posted any ads or sources of income on my blog (any reviews or product recommendations were purely things I enjoy, with the exception of a site for emergency preparedness, I did get a $10 gift card to promote their site.)

However since times are tighter than ever I would like to look into any ways to make income on this blog, while still keeping it about my life. I need your advice. Where do I look to do so?
